These are recordings of just a few of the instruments I have made over the past 35 years. I hope to put recordings of each new instrument here after a short play-in period.
IMPORTANT: Please note the following before, during and after listening to them:
The size and quality of the audio system used to listen to these files matters a great deal. Ear buds or 2 inch PC/laptop speakers can not possibly give you a good representation of the sound created by a guitar. Don't judge sound quality based on a poor setup.
None of the musicians are putting the instrument through a rigorous listening test or using every technique to expose the instrument's tonal spectrum. I hope to be able to provide this at sometime in the future. For now they are just playing musical pieces.
These recordings were done with the microphones placed in various locations in front of the soundboard. Thus the sound is closer to what an audience would hear than what the performer would hear but not exactly as this placement is considerably closer.
These recordings have been recorded at different times on different equipment by musicians of different levels of talent and training, myself being the least in both categories. The copyright for the performances belong to the performers and are used here by permission. Please do not abuse this trust.
